Don't read any guides, you will ruin it for yourself.

to tell you the truth, i have ordered the guide aswell so i dont miss anything, so do you think im better not reading it and finding things out for myself? got any general tips? i can remember all those years ago when i was in year 11 at school and people were playing it, i remember when i played a couple of hours on it, how big it was and it felt complicated, hope i go on ok

Dont know what tips your looking for since the game is very straight forward and you always know where you are going or what you're meant to be doing.

If you've bought a guide however I wouldn't use it for your first play through since it will ruin it, instead save it for next time you play through it (although I dont know why you paid for it when you can get better ones online for free :p)

by all means use the guides when you get stuck. and it's useful for lots of non story stuff so you can get everything.

Dont use the guide the first time round, it will be much more rewarding.

Also, I know when I first played it I found it quite hard to get into a first, keep with it at least until you get to a place called 'Kalm'.

And yeah, book a week of work, this game demands you play it once the story gets going.

Why do you need a guide? It'll just ruin the game. It usually takes about 100 hours to do everything, side quests and exploring and all.

You will probably need tips on chocobo breeding and finding Yuffie (great character btw)

GROSSNESS! :p

leave the guide to one side i say...

tips..

Make sure you have a lot of time to get stuck into it when you first start it up!!

First time around... talk to everyone :P get a real feeling for the game.

Oh and have fun :P im about to start playing it again.. for the 4th time now :D it really is that good :D

My tip is to make sure you spend enough time levelling your character as you come towards the end of the game. My first time round was impossibly difficult (20+ times on last boss) due to my level. He could kill my entire team in one hit!

yeah thats a good one... take time out to level up every couple hours.. it will help your gil situation and make it easier for next story section.. only has to be like 3-4 levels really.. if you can be bothered :P

best game ever, you better enjoy it :p dont use a guide first time through, it'll ruin it. use it the second time through to get everything maxxed. etc.

Tonberry?

yeah little buggers. Look really soppy, I didn't save for ages one of the bits where play 1 hour without save place, first fight with one of them and killed off the group. I think there's a technique to kill them can't remember now (probably stop suicide or something?)

PAL version has noticeable borders I'm afraid. It shouldn't ruin it for you though...

I started playing resident evil 4 yesterday, that had borders, should i be able to get that to run fullscreen? should i set the ps2 to 16:9 or fullscreen ??
Cheers
