I've just upgraded my GPU from a 1080ti Aorus to a 3080ti Tuf. The difference is night and day, as you would expect. But my processor is still the i7 7700k. I'm running on an OLED 48" 4K 120hz.

Thanks to Microsoft my CPU won't be supported by win 11 anyway.

Once I've traded in my 1080ti and my old monitor, I could get any used CPU from CEX without splashing out a bean. So that would just leave a Mobo and RAM. etc.

So anyway, I ran a Benchmark in Horizon Zero Dawn, Hoping to see others with same GPU's or similar but with better CPU's then mine. That way I can make a decision on my upgrade.

Could anyone post there results please, Or at least give me some advice on my next upgrade.

Looking unto horizon dawb it can better from more cores so a 6 core cpu would be a decent uograde. But that would mean a new motherboard and possible memory .

Whats your budget ?

When it comes to pc upgrade, I try to find a middle to high ground, GPU priority, CPU, Motherboard. Ram, and M.2 Gen 4 Speed.
The motherboard I've never spent more then £150, is never a ROG or a near £300 board that has features I'll never use or benefit from.

But this time around I've been looking at the ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING. Which is near £300.
But more like the TUF GAMING X570-PLUS £220 is in my budget but that doesn't support ryzen 9
So I need a popular board that supports the Ryzen 9

RAM 2x 8GB G.SKILL Ripjaws V 3000Mhz or 2x 16B G.SKILL Trident Z DDR4 3800.
New PSU Modular. 850w
New Case up to £200
M.2 Pcie gen 4 7000Mb/s 1TB

I've lost track but hopefully Less then £1000 for those parts to go with my 3080ti.
Probably unrealistic to look at Ryzen 9 with that budget. Have to wait for prices drops.
Or wait a few months longer to get a £1500 Budget.
