Need some Vista advice

It's not really piracy though is it? Telling people to download from a torrent site, yeah - but if MS are willing to reactivate OEM on a new mobo, when they're told it's a new mobo, that's just their discretion isn't it?

Hello Rainmaker, Microsoft will not reactivate an OEM license if you have changed your motherboard for performance upgrade purposes and you say this to them. Now, Thedog45 said: (Which was really the point I was getting at)

i juz told them my other motherboard blew up (naughty i know)

Which is lying to Microsoft. You may as well just download a copy of Windows from the internet, either way you are not licensed.

Me? never, did i not say my msi MB blew up :) i bought my vista copy legally ive not made copys or selling copies ect ect

Hello Thedog45, yes you did indeed purchase Windows legally and you are licensed to use that copy of Windows for the motherboard it was originally installed on.

to change my MB if blew up or not it may be breaking the eula which means in affect that MY install of vista may not be truley licenced

If you change your motherboard for performance upgrade purposes and installed the copy of Windows that you previously had, you are breaking the EULA and are no longer licensed to use that copy of Windows. :)
