A lot of the world run on about 240 volts (including the UK) bar the yanks, japs and a few other countries which run on 110 or there abouts.
I'm about to buy a device with the following:
Battery type: ID-Security Li-ion Battery Pack (3.6V, Typical: 1,000 mAh / Minimum: 940 mAh) (Included) / AC Adaptor (Input: 110-240V AC)
Does this mean (as long as I have a plug converter) that I will be safe in plugging in my device to an American or Japanese plug socket without the pops and bangs followed by a little smoke? And does the Hz matter at all? Jap 110v is 60hz whereas 240v (UK) is 50Hz.
And does anyone have any advice or experience with this type of converter? It seems to do the trick?
