I generally use Autoglym Resin Polish and then a coat of Collinite 476S.

I've just run out of Collinite 476S, so before I order another tub, is there any other recommendations?

Car is a 2005 Honda Civic Type-R in Nighthawk Black :)

I have AG HD wax at the minute, it is so utterly brainless easy to use that even a detailing newb like me can get along with it, which is good, becuase i hate cleaning cars and that product was a pleasure to use

There's no wax I've found so far that is as durable as Collinite. AG HD wax is meant to give a good finish but won't have the longevity of the Collinite

FK1000P will give colly a run for its money. Personally I prefered the colly marque d'elegance on dark cars.

I've found 476S lasts ages and beads really really well, but doesn't give a lot of depth to the paint. Heard great things about FK1000P though.

This thread on Detailing World might help if you're willing to sift through it :)

Collonite is what you should be using in this weather. A nice coat of that around this time if year should ensure winter protection.

Save the showy waxes for spring

I have a few expensive boutique waxes, and some cheaper ones such as Colly 915 and Various Dodo Juice amoungst others, but this time of year I use FK1000P.

Two very thin coats will see you through until the weather improves (as long as you wash the car carefully)

This is why BH Auto balm is the clear choice for winter use.

C2V3. Durable, cheap, easy to apply and adds gloss unlike 476s.

Can even dilute 1:1 to aid drying and to top up the protection.

Don't understand why people even use Collinite anymore...

Kleen Freaks - fantastic stuff, used to use collinite 915m I'd say kleen freaks is noticeably better, application, finish, durability.

Smells nice too, his shampoo is the best I've used aswell.... in fact all his products are top notch, wheel cleaner is ace - I use another 'acid free' cleaner that marks my polished rims KF doesn't, detail spray - fantastic
