I am not good with this stuff..

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad L340 which has 1 slot for ram it seems based on settings. Its got 8gb ram on it currently which is not enough, Id like to upgrade to 16.
The part that kinda throws me off at the moment is the MhZ and if my motherboard can handle 16gb at all?
If someone could check I would be grateful

here are the specs

If i go ahead and buy

KINGSTON DDR4 2666MHz 16GB, SO-DIMM (KVR26S19D8/16)

Will I be able to install it and use it to full extent? or do I need a 2400Mhz ram or 1333MHz?

When I tried to find a service manual, I saw that there are lots of L340 models. They can even have soldered RAM.

Your laptop appears to not have soldered RAM, just one (I assume) SODIMM, so you only have 8GB total memory?

If I check Kingston's configurator and select the AMD 17 or 15" versions, it appears to sometimes only recommend 8GB modules, but I don't know why, because even first gen Zen mobile supports 32GB of memory.

In reference to the speed: I think 2400 is the max supported (at least, at stock), so 2666 would be downclocked automatically. You might want to check if the KCP memory Kingston suggest (KCP426SD8/16) is cheaper than the module you referred to (sometimes they are, sometimes they're not).
