Need something cheap, reliable, and low wattage.

Cool, thanks. I've found another contender though...

Am I correct in thinking that it's a rebadged version of this: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/seasonic-s12ii-430w-80-plus-bronze-power-supply-ca-039-ss.html ?

Seems quite the bargain if it is. I'm only going on what someone said on another forum when I googled the XFX unit, mind. Is anybody able to verify this information?

No it's not. The Seasonic SII 430w only has 360w on the 12v rail while the XFX TS 430w has 396w on the 12v rail. While the XFX TS is designed by Seasonic it is not actually built by them but outsourced to a OEM that appears to be Shenzhen Rui Sheng Yuan Technology who also build some of Superflowers lower end modles going by this. Many thanks to lee32uk for digging that up here.

Gah, now I'm confused! Lee's post only mentions the XT, not the TS. I had a look at the link he provided and the flow chart about half way down does seem to suggest that the TS IS built by seasonic.

Ha, no worries mate.

So, even if the TS and SII aren't actually the same internally, is the TS still a full seasonic built unit? That looks the clear winner if it is. Or would you recommend I stick with the SII?

Yes the XFX TS is a Seasonic built unit based on the ECO model.

The Seasonic S12II is probably the better of the two units, but the XFX should be fine as you get the same 5 year warranty.
