Currently about to finish gta V which I've done on the Xbox one and again on pc. Still a brilliant story mode.
Looking for something similar to keep me gripped for a while. Doesn't have to be GTA style, but something with a good single player.

Anything like Legend of Zelda ocarina of time on pc?
Looking at the Witcher 3, shadow of mordor so far.

Shadow of Mordor is simply amazing for the price. The Nemesis system is unique and adds a lot of depth to a superb game.

The new Tomb Raider games are awesome. You also can't go wrong with The Witcher or Shadow of Mordor. Both Darksiders games are great fun and if you like those sort of games then the Castlevania Lords of Shadows games are worth a look.

If you fancy something completely different but is in my opinion, a masterpiece, check out SOMA. Amazing story and concept.
 
speaking of the witcher - I have witcher 2 & 3. Should I play 2 first? I really want to play 3 but, you know, manage to enjoy 2 as well as I should
