Need something to protect my 2G iPhone

Hey,
Having recently bought a 2nd hand iPhone I have been using an iSock to keep it safe but unfortunately it has done more worse than good. Thanks to the iSock I have many little scratches on the screen. :mad:

Was wondering what is a cheap screen protector I can buy? I don't want to spend anything more than £7 on one. I heard ones from the bay (the cheapo jobbie ones) are rubbish and makes the touch screen less responsive. So could anyone recommend me a screen protector. I also want to buy a case for it but want one for less than £10 and is thin and not a silicone case.

All screen covers will lower the sensitivity and increase friction. I'm not sure how an isock can scratch the screen when keys can't.
 
I'm not sure how the isock made the scratches on the screen but they were not there when I bought the iphone and I have kept it in the isock since I had it. So any recommendation on screen covers that only lower the sensitivity a little?
