Need something to remove an object stuck in a tube

So I've got a rubber bung with a hole down the middle stuck in the middle of a length of tube and I only have access from one end to pull it out.

Anyone got any ideas on what I could use? It's well stuck in.

Tube is 19mm ID and the bung is around 30-40mm down the tube

That's a good shout, not sure if I'll be able to get one long enough though as the bung could be quite thick. How thick I'm not sure.

Gave up with anything delicate in the end, took a rubber mallet and a socket extender and bashed it down the bottom of the tube just to get it out of the way.
Problem solved.
