Need something to solve latency issues with E-Drums

Hi,

I'm using my E-Drums with EZDrummer3 and I've got annoying latency. My MoBo is B650 AX and CPU is 7800x3D with 32GB RAM. So, the PC is well capable and I'm wondering if it's a dedicated sound card that I need?

The E-Drums are connected to the PC directly via USB and I can record without issue so I know the input is fine, it's the audio output that's lagging.

Any advice appreciated. :)

I'd wonder about the ASIO Driver in use and how that is configured, is there a specific driver installed for your e-kit or would you benefit from using the ASIO4LL drivers as that has quite a large impact on latency when working with audio kit -

Yea, that's solved it. Awesome!

Strangely, when I press the mouse on the graphic for the snare drum, it's a nice sound but when I hit the snare on the drum kit it's not the same sound, like it's muffled slightly. I'll keep tinkering, but at least the latency is resolved.

Thanks :)

Another little request for advice, please...

I'm playing along using a set of headphones plugged into the Roland unit via 3.5mm jack. I'm teaching my daughter and it's a bit of a PITA swapping the headphones around between us, so I was thinking of getting a little amp - then I'm thinking, why not buy some decent PC speakers and get a dual use.

So the question is, can anyone recommended some speakers for the PC that would be suited to music and particularly a bit bassy for the drums? It would need to work by plugging 3.5mm output cable from the drums into the PC and then the sound would output from the PC speakers. I would also intent to use the speakers for gaming and watching TV etc.

Budget around £300.

TIA
