DDR3 is better if you have
1) liquid nitrogen cooling
2) a very very good clocking CPU
3) a very very good MB

is there a better case i could use, the one i listed seems abit ott for my needs... the reason i was looking at it was for thefans and cooling but as i say seems abit much

all i will have in it is 3 sata 2 hdds and a bluray and dvd drive

Antec P182 or Antec 1200 are both nice cases :) You could even go for an Antec 300 case - really cheap but still very good!

Def go for a DDR2 system as well, DDR3 is pretty much pointless with the current systems.

Would i need any extra fans??? im looking to oc the cpu to about 3.6

^^ from that i would
Change the cooler to the Noctua hsf at 42 quid.
Also get rid of that fan, and buy two of the Yate loons.
And for i would change the paste to MX-2.

I think ive settled on this........ also does that case come with a PSU??? if not any recommendations??
