Need suggestions for cheap upgrade

I Currently have
p5n-3 sli
e6300 @ 2.2ghz
4gb twinx
4850 512mb

I play Arma 2, TF2, L4D, SupCom, Empire Total War. System is used mainly for games.

I want to move away from the Nforce mobo and I need a faster cpu. I will be keeping the 4850 for the meantime and may upgrade when the new ati's come out (I'll get a reduced 4890).

Should I go for AMD or Intel?
Dual or quad?
I need a stable mobo, I don't care about bells & whistles I want a solid, stable mobo that will clock a little.
Budget is a couple of hundred but value for money is priority!

as long as your not going crossfire this is just over 200£ minus the delivery cos ur get free delivery

Good spec, although personally I think just swapping to a 4870 or 90 will give a better boost for gaming.

I didn't think swapping to a 4870 was a good upgrade.

Extra graphics power is much more noticable in game rather than a cpu upgrade, most games dont highly utalise cpu.

yeh, I meant that the 4850 wasn't far behind the 4870

That OCZ reaper Ram is well worth the cash at that price, and personally i would just overclock your cpu and get the 4870.

I'd get a 4890, it will be more noticable with it's higer clock.
