Hi, I have a iMac with 12gb of Ram and a dual core processor and it can't handle games like Minecraft or Crysis.

I'm looking for a small yet powerful machine that I will be able to play games with no lag. My budget is around £600

Cheers!

if your budget is £600 your going to struggle to get a great system, i would suggest you get a trinity build and then add a full size GPU when you have more money or trawl for a second hand deal.

Win 8 is ~£80 and your looking at £80-100 for a half decent 1080p monitor which only leaves you about £400 for everything else.

Missing a PSU or he can reuse the old computer's if he can?

Or he can drop OS get a psu, stay in budget and use win8 3 month trial while saving up for an OS later on.
