Hi guys,

After 4 calls and waiting nearly 2 months for blueyonder to send me out a compatible 20meg modem and failing, ive decieded to just purchase one.

Am I right in saying any telewest/virgin 20meg modem will work? I.e I dont need a specific one for me.

hmmm you will need to reg the mac address with them and I am not sure if they will comply with this if its bought externally. I aint sure, ring them and see what their policy on this is?

there are a few ways round this.... just phone them up and tell them the customer care center told you to book in a free instalation of a new modem as yours was shot. they will send round a guy and install if for you. means you don't have to pay ;) just takes a lil white lie :)
 
I filled in the online form and 8 days later the modem was delivered.
Pop into the virgin newsgroups and get the link - for the life of me I cannot remember it.

Didn't think they could take modem orders on the phone.
