Need some help buying a new card, I have a budget of £310 tops and play at 1080p the cards I am looking at are this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-293-AS and this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-213-MS&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=2255

I have a 2500k @ 4.2ghz and I am coming from a gtx 580 3gb. I like the Asus 7970 but am concerned about it taking up too much space (I have a 650d) though more concerned about the card sagging. I really do like the gtx 680 pe and the aesthetics are really nice but how would it stack up against the Matrix?

At the top of my budget I can squeeze in a gtx770, But is it worth the extra £ over the 7970 and 680 pe?

Need to get this done quick as I think the 680 pe is on a today special. Thanks in advance guy's :)

In similar dilemma to you but am waiting now to get a 770.

In benchies I've seen a 770 is on average 10% faster than a 680 but costs 20% more so diminishing returns are beginning to come into play

What 770 were you looking at? Also what are the differences between the 680 and 770, I thought the 770 was a basically a 680

Gainward 770 on ocuk this week only £299.

They are the same but the 770 has a higher clock speed and memory at 7ghz vs 6ghz.

Ofc the 680 can be oc'd but so can the 770.

I would buy into 770 tech as its just within your budget.

If going NV

Just dropped my money on the 680 pe. At £251.99 it just seemed a better deal....Time will tell and at 1080p I wont struggle in the games I play anyway. Just could not justify the £300 on the 770. Thanks for the advice though 3t3p ;)
