Need to connect my portable hdd to my pc

Is it like a small IDE connector in shape?

Any 2.5" IDE caddy should do you, firewire or USB 2.0 will be fine.

Infact, if you need one and can get to Mark's I've got a spare lying around I think.

Hi El.
These are two pictures of the device I need to connect to my computer so that I may reinstall the Epson OS onto as the idiots only put it on a partition meaning that by formatting the hdd voids your warranty, ruins the device and the Epson option is £155+

I can't get to Marks in time mate. I need the device for 4pm tomorrow. I was gonna either buy a cable or a unit.

Yeah, that's a standard 2.5" IDE laptop drive.

I've got a USB caddy that should do the trick for that :)

Just seen your edit, damnit :(

Well just get hold of any 2.5" IDE USB caddy :)

Well I got one but the hdd does not show up on either Windows Vista U or OS X Leopard.
The hard drive ticks constantly under OS X.

I have a feeling it has something to do with how the drive has been wrote to with the Epson software... That or its not compatible with both versions of my OS.. Although I doubt it.

Argosy HD260..

If its just ticking, it may be struggling for power, are those two Operating Systems on the same machine (parallels?), and as such are you using the same USB port for both scenarios?

Is there any way of getting external power to the caddy you bought?

Have you got a powered USB hub you can try in between the computer and the caddy?
