Hi guys was wondering if you could give me some advise.

I currently pay £105 per month for VM VIP package this includes telephone, 20mb Broadband, V+ Box + V box (multiroom), I am moving house the end of the month and I was wondering if there would be cheaper options if I went with seperate companies, I have been hearing good things about Be for intance.

If you can get Be in your area, 24mbit is £18/month. You'll need a BT line too though, costing you another £12/month. Also, if you phone line isn't decent enough quality you'll end up with far less than 24mbit :/

I'd personally just get rid of all your TV stuff. Keep 10mbit internet (and download TV episodes if you're desperate to watch them - fairly sure TV ep downloading isn't illegal, unlike films/etc). Do you mostly use a mobile to make phone calls? If so, you could get rid of your phoneline too.

Downloading tv is illegal, however theres lots of online services these days - like iPlayer and 4oD etc.

If i had it my way i'd have internet only without tv or phone but i refuse to have VM (not that i can get it where i am anyway)

I do have a VOIP termination service which means i can still call 0800 numbers for free and 0845 at somthing approaching a reasonable rate (unlike my mobile)

It's up to you, how many of those extra channels do you really watch?

Aha. Cheers for clearing that up. I'll say no more on the subject then.

I generally have no TV (and in fact not television in the house). It's nice not having to pay for a TV license :) No phoneline would be good if I wanted VM for some crazy reason, but I prefer Be + BT line for internet quality.

I'd say the biggest cost there is the TV stuff. Just ask yourself do your really need the best TV service. And also soon the 4Mb service is going to 10Mb, so if you bear that in mind you could go for one of the M packages or the L packages. Not sure of the prices but a damm site cheaper than £105.

Phone VM tell them your moving and want rid of see what they offer you to stay haggle.

i did this and got half price 20mb internet for a year.
