Need to dump Chrome... now what?

i am getting random lock up and and black screens and after about 2 months i've worked out it only happens with chrome....
I like chrome.... But its over.

Whats like chrome but not chrome... do i use Edge?

Edge i go through all the browsers each year & edge always comes out on top

  • never losses connections to apple keychain (chrome does)
  • never has a hissy fit over custom certs (chrome does)
  • most stable out of the lot
  • Less ram used due to auto-sleep
  • sidebar actually started coming in handy for whatsapp etc
 
Firefox. Edge is horrendously bloated now, they've been ramming it with superfluous features and with every update you end up having to scour the settings pages to turn them all off.
 
I use un-googled Chromium.

I really don't like most modern browsers that have been pimped up with "wallets" and proprietary password managers, device sync, etc. etc.. I just want a simple browser that I can add extensions to for whatever functions I need. Chromium (mostly) fits that bill, currently.
