Right, I'm not sure when it happened, but all the backups of my files have this problem apart from a very early one from a few years ago.

I've ripped all my music with EAC + Lame, in vbr 32-320kbs.

Freshly ripped and files from the early backup are all 100% fine, so it's something that has since crept in.

Just noticed that many albums / tracks are displaying the wrong time in the winamp playlist, a quick google shows they have been corrupted by some other player.

I've tested a few players of the years, so something must have written to them.

I'm after a tool to rescan the whole lot and re-write them, has anyone else done this in the past?

Obviously I'll take a backup before running anything, I've found a tool called "VBRFIXv5-3-15" tested it on one folder and it worked fine.

Any help guys? :)

I also tried the inbuilt thing in foobar and it made the problem worse, time was further out

Well that program seems to be ok with large folders, so I dropped my whole 'Music' folder on it, 0.15% completed in about one minute, wahoo!
