While sorting out some pc bits, i found 2 sticks of ram.

The chips have the following on them
W942508CH-5
03250I
Q42550330E2

In the middle of the sticks is

6 Layer

7M8RE-SA

I remember buying them as they are a matched dual channel pair and its winbon ram (has the winbond W logo on the chips).

But im not sure what spec they are (ie DDR speed, timings etc) i think they are 256mb sticks/.

Strangely enough I remeber W942508CH-5 (or very very similar number) from my kingston hyper-x RAM - good chance they are either 512Mb or 256Mb modules of DDR-400 with 2.5-3-3-7 timings - tho if they were hyper-x they would have the blue heat spreaders - so prolly value ram.

Although a quick google search for 7M8RE-SA - says they are INFINEON 256 MB DDR PC3200 (PC400) 6 LAYER - isn't this the generic no name crap (tho its good for overclocking with relaxed timings) a certain UK high street chain sell?

The IC
winbond CH-5.

5ns
DDr400

If its single sided its 256MB , double is 512MB.

Should do cas 2,3,2,6.

will easily do 2.5,3,3,6 on most any board.

The PCB is 6layer with manufacturer code 7M8RE-SA
