Need to re tim Q6600?

My temps are showing 54 degrees at idle, 65 at load and in originally applied the tim with a credit card across the entire die, when apparently arctic silver don’t recommend. I will possibly retry using the thin line technique if you think it requires it?

temps are too high so it will be best to reapply using the AS5 method, what Heatsink are you using?

Is this a G0? Seems to be a lot of "my G0 temps are too high / overclocking is a nightmare" lately.

Including mine, I might add.

Yeah it's a G0 using a Zalman 9500

I reapplied the tim and my temps are now 39 idle and 48 on load

Sounds more like it!!!
