Hey all,

Currently I have all my hardware housed in a Coolermaster HAF 932, which while having as much room as a small tower block - is too heavy and bulky for me to be shifting around now.

I have the following components which can be reused but I'm open to suggestions if I can upgrade for not too much additional outlay!

3770k
16gb Corsair Ram
Corsair HX 650 professional
250gb Samsung 830 and a 120gb Sandisk SSD
4x Mechanical HDD's (was a striped array for games and a mirrored array for photos)

Don't have a z77 motherboard anymore as my delightful child decided to help me for the two seconds I wasn't looking by screwing up the socket pins with a screwdriver :/

So my thoughts are this : Get something like the BitFenix Prodigy M and buy a m-atx motherboard from somewhere of the z77 variety (second hand I guess is my only option) or failing that I'd like to buy a light ATX case and replace the motherboard that I did have for that? However, maybe it would be worth upgrading the whole lot now - however I read that new stuff is due out next year so I'd prefer to keep it to a motherboard and case if I can!

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

You need to see what Z77 boards you can find, there were itx versions from Gigabyte/Asus etc.

Or mATX from all of them.

Then get a case based on that.

Morning Stulid!

Thanks for the reply, I figured I'd be kind of limited to Micro ATX as I want more sata ports than are typically found on itx boards! I quite like the look of the bitfenix case so will probably go with that as the price is reasonable and its not that heavy.

I just am not having much luck finding z77 boards. I'd hoped ocuk would have some clearance ones but no such luck!

Thanks :) That B grade board is just as expensive as it was when it was new! Ocuk's B-Grade pricing has gone wrong somewhere lately!

I'd love a little ITX build but just they don't have enough sata ports! Unless I used a NAS for photos etc instead!
