Over there...
Got a weird problem, and am unsure where to start looking for a fix.

I normally leave my PC in hibernate, and it wakes up when i start using it. On the rare occasion i turn it off however it won't boot without me removing the battery and power cord, then reinserting and turning on (with a CMOS reset, effectively).

But what could be the cause of this problem?

i5 2500k
Gigabyte Z68 D3 B3
Corsair TX 650 PSU
ATI HD6970

Is the battery old and losing power quickly with all the saved bios settings?
I know mine is and if I turn it off for any prolonged length >1day it'll lose everything and sqiurm trying to boot first time, but then it auto reboots and works.

never been a problem previously. System is about a year old at a guess?

Not sure why removing it and replacing it would fix it mind, but i could try and replace it?
