Need to replace my EOS 400D, busted

Basically through the extended use of the camera it's showing it's age with the flash failing to open and the focus sounding gritty. Thus i'm looking to replace. However I'll not be buying a full price brand new one! But this is what it must have, the option to take more than 3+ stops for HDR useage or multiple exposures.

Any suggestions? Must be canon

Just had another look and I can't find anything in my price bracket that does more than 3 auto-exposures, canon = £1000's

If this works and gives me extended AEB I'll get a second hand 400D that works and use this

Focusing with the camera is lens specific, so if it is sounding gritty, its your lens that is failing, not the camera.
