Well I've now ordered an X850 Pro (256 MiB GDDR3) and Arctic Cooling Silencer 5 Rev. 2. Together they came to $215 USD. I'm posting this from FF 1.5.0.4 on Windows Vista Ultimate (Beta 2, build 5384). 
The AC Silencer should come with thermal compound already smeared on it. Is this stuff any good? Would I be better off cleaning ot off and using AS5?

So's anybody know the answer to the above? Also, need I uninstall the current drivers before I install the shiny new card?
