Want something that'll allow me to turn on all the bells and whistles in planetside 2, 1gb 7850? 2gb 7850? 7870? gtx660? Or should I wait for the 8xxxx cards? opinions please :)

PS: it'll be paired with an i5 2320 3.0ghz which I'll upgrade to a 3570k in future if need be.

If Planetside 2 is your main game, maybe you would be better off with an Nvidia card, as this game uses PhysX. If you are not worried on the extra pretties that come with PhysX, a 7950 @ £230 is a great buy:

YOUR BASKET
1 x HIS HD 7950 IceQ BOOST 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (H795QC3G2M) with FREE FARCRY3, Hitman Absolution, Sleeping Dogs & 20% off MOH Warfighter PC Games £227.99
Total : £227.99 (includes shipping : FREE).

If that is above your intended budget, this card would be a great buy:

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI GeForce GTX 660 OC Twin Frozr 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with FREE Assassin's Creed III PC Game £159.95
Total : £159.95 (includes shipping : FREE).

As for a bottleneck, I would expect a slight one with your current CPU but I would only expect it to hit your max FPS and your averages. My advice would be to see how you get on with a new GPU on your current CPU and go from there.

Hope this helps :)
