Oh dear! Thats a lot of money, I guess you can get carried away!

Indeed :(

I can afford it, but I cant believe I made such a stupid noob mistake. I will get it all back this week though :D

whats with the endless threads people bragging bout how much ££ they have.

Own fault tbh "I can afford to waste 2600" well done and good for u

I am not bragging mate, I am absolutely gutted.

I needed to vent as I can not tell my GF what has happened :D

But how much will you lose in the same week? win £2600, lose £3800? :p

Do you keep a track of your incomings and outgoings? If you tend to win, how much profit have you mae since you started? I'd be interested to know.

I am up about £40,000 from online gambling.

I was introduced to it from a thread on this forum, I've been hooked ever since.

Geez 40k from gambling. Over what period of time?

About 7 months.

I read on esreality.com that some gamers have made over $1M in less than a year from online gambling.

Ever heard the expression "Quit while you're ahead"?

I think you should.

I intend to make a million pounds from online gambling, I shall quit after that ;)

Was it actually a mistake, though, or did you just lose the hand? Did you miss something? Did you bet it properly?

I'm sure you know already, but sometimes you can play perfectly, bet exactly right and still lose. That's poker.

Anybody that isn't prepared to take a large loss from time to time shouldn't be in a game with stakes that high, because it WILL happen periodically. It happens to the best. All you can do is look at it philosophically, shrug and move on. Or stop playing for those stakes.

I was hungover, feeling lucky and possibly a little cocky. One thing I have learned is to never take your emotions into a game.

If you could afford it then you wouldnt be posting on here needing to 'vent' or expressing what a 'noob' mistake it was.

If you're going to make it all back within a week then again, why the need to vent?

I am annoyed as I just lost a lot of money and I needed to vent. If you just lost that much money would you tell your girl friend who will moan at you, or some strangers on a forum?

Does your gf know you're up 40k dude?

I dont tell my GF anything about my income, she thinks I get £400 a week from my websites :D

I dont tell her about my gambling, would you? ;)

Ok, i missed this post! Impressive. How much time do you have to put in to it to get these kind of returns?

There was a hugh thread in GD about gambling sites, I cant find it now though. IIR some members here made over £10,000.

I spend about 3-5 hours a night playing.

Are these things a scam or not?

I was on VC a while back and getting hands of 18 and 19 and the banker always seemed to have 1 higher than me... Reminded me of the bandits in arcades.

No there not.

As I said there was a hugh thread with loads of information, links to gambling information sites - tips, tricks etc. I cant find it now was it deleted?

Hang on, so you were going in regardless of the fact that people could have hit the straight, and the flush (and obviously straight flush), all hands better than your eventual 3oak from the FLOP!

No doubt people will have been betting it as well yet you stayed in. Sounds like poor play.

There was 2 of us left - He had 2, 5, 7, J, spades. I had 3 9's, the flop was 8 of spade, just unlucky :(

Sorry it was not a straight flush, it was just a flush - 2, 5, 7, J, 8 spades.

PinkPig I dont normally bet that much money, you get carried away sometimes.
