Need urgent help please, HTC One M7 - Pics to MacBook Air?

Hi guys,

I'm trying to download some pics from a friends HTC One M7 to his MacBook Air, but I'm not familiar with the Mac system, and when I plug it in I don't have an option to directly access the pics, so could some kind soul talk me through what I need to do, needs to be a free solution and easy to do so he can do it again at anytime?

You need this because of stupid MTP: https://www.android.com/filetransfer/

Install that on his MBA, will work.

Just installed it, a window pops up with an android and an applications folder icon, when I click on the android image it tells me I don't have a phone connected? Which I do?


(Edit: A reboot of the Mac sorted it)
