I recently upgraded to Windows 7 64bit from Vista 32bit.

And I'm on Sky broadband using a wired ethernet connection, my 7 isn't recognising or installing the necessary drivers for me to have a connection.

I was wondering if anyone could help, I believe I need to download the 7 64bit drivers but I can't seem to find them at all.
Thanks

Installed it, no use, still says the driver hasn't been detected...
it says, Windows has not found a driver for your network adapter, if there is a driver then its not installed properly.

use winrar or winzip to extract the driver into its components, do this into a folder.

then bring up device manager, and click on the ethernet, which should have a yellow warning next to it?

manually update the driver by pointing it to the folder.

Have i missed something? We don't know what motherboard you have to point you in the right direction of the drivers?

If you really can't get them you can just add a pci ethernet card, there about a tenner.

you have obviously missed the screen grab that shows a abit motherboard, model number and chipset.

a few years back my LAN port on my mobo started acting up.
Bought a replacement PCI card and installed in about 5 mins.
Got a better connection than the mobo and it outlasted my PC
