Need wide angle lens advice please

I have a Sony HDR CX115E camcorder which is excellent and also records sound very well in a small practice room with a band playing full blast.
The only problem is I need to get a bit wider, that's me playing guitar/keyboards on the right -

Would this be adequate, what does 0.43 mean?

0.43x is the divider for the viewing angle, the smaller the divider the wider the angle, should be more than adequate but will probably add distortion to the video.
