Hi folks,

It's that time again. I need a .iso which I can burn to a disk (yes, seriously) that has the latest version of x64 Windows 10 Professional ONLY on it with UK English.

What hoops do I need to jump through in order to find this from somewhere please? I remember this being a real pain the last time I needed this.

Luckily, unlike last time, it's not a major panic, I don't have a computer in pieces in front of me.

Thanks.

if you use the official USB tool there's an option to get the ISO file - that's what I used to get it :)
It's a combined download containing both Windows 10 Home and Professional. I don't want that, I only want Pro on the image.

Quite easy, just go to the official Microsoft download page here

message me via trust and I'll share a link to a en-gb W10 2004 ISO from MSDN on my Google Drive
Thanks, I've got your message but as per above, that looks like a combined image with multiple versions.

You won't get an ISO with a single version.
Yes, yes I will, I've been here before :) There's a long thread in here from a few months ago where I had an issue with a system which would only give me Home, no matter what I did or selected. The only fix was an image with just Pro on it which someone on here very kindly helped me with. Hence why I'm asking again.

Does your mobo have a digital license for Home? That will skip the option during setup.

I'll share the "business ISO" which will give you a choice and you activate after install
The PC was shipped with a Professional licence but after a rebuild, no matter what I did, I couldn't get Pro on it.

Thanks, I've got your second email. I know how it _should_ work but after hours of work, it simply wouldn't. The only way to make it work properly was to use an image with just Professional on it. None of the images with multiple versions would allow me to select the right version or activate the right version afterwards.

If you don't i don;t mind doing it and hosting the iso somewhere for you
I don't have easy access to anything running Windows at the moment so if you could, that would be fantastic, thanks.

Was it an autounattend.xml file Vince gave you? That file will skips parts of the setup GUI and install the edition specified.
Nope, it was an .iso

Done I think.
Got it, thanks

let me know when you have it so I can get rid :)
Got it, thanks

Used ImageX to extra Pro from install.wim on the en-gb_windows_10_consumer_editions_version_2004_x64_dvd_d4d263d8.iso, renamed and replaced the original install.wim
Grabbing it, thanks.

This gives me multiple options :D

Take the combined image, enter about 2 lines of script, and extract only the image you need and stop being so lazy...
You're suggesting I use an OS I said I don't have access to in order to run a script? Why would you do that?

The first one I burned and installed was the one just called Windows.iso which I think was yours, @Vince
It was 1909.
Now I'm writing SW_DVD9_Win_Pro_10_2004.3_64BIT_English_Pro_Ent_EDU_N_MLF_-2_X22-33663 this one to a DVD, let's see how it goes.

Not having much luck here.

The next one only had English (United States) as the 'Language to install'. The first one did have UK for all three boxes.

Now burning W10Pro.iso to try that.

Same problem as last time... you can just go us and set to uk after install. Shouldnt even require a language pack.
It was a faff and I remember someone suggesting at the time that it would annoy them. This time it's not stupid o'clock so I'm giving the third image a try because it will annoy me :)
Whoever did 1909 got the language options correct though, UK was the only one available in all three boxes.

Looks like Win10pro.iso is bang on.

Thanks to you all for your help but especially to whoever it was that did that one, I genuinely don't know who it was!

No, please read more closely. You download the combined home/Pro image from the links given to you early, mount the image, and run two lines of PS against it to extract just Win10 Pro.
And how do I run PS when I don't have access to Windows? I think you need to read more closely ;)

Now that you have it working, I suggest that's the first thing you do on your shiny new Win10 Pro build :D
I don't need to now, I have an .iso and a DVD all safe :D
