Hello everybody, i'm starting to setup my new computer for the advent of Diablo 3. Got not so many problems about hardware costs but really don't want to buy parts that i don't really need. More or less my first idea is the following setup:

No needs for Win7, got the professional one, no need (ATM) for a HD (i'll buy 1 soon) but i really don't know what i have to buy as graphic card(s) (got a U2711 atm)..

can gently give me any advice about my configuration?

Sorry for my bad english

Cheers, Loris

Tks so much for your really fast reply, have not put a graphic card because i don't really know what will be the best solutions for my U2711 (forgot about it too ;) ). Will buy the "internal" HD when prices will be a bit lower in the next few months i think (and hope). Ram atm is so cheap and 2x8 will let me the chance for a future upgrade (sometimes i "play" a bit with photoshop)

Tks so much! ^^

Personally I'd buy a Noctua NH-d14 instead of the Corsair H60, it'll perform much better

But if you really wanted a closed loop cooler, I'd get either a Corsair H80 or a Antec Kuhler h2o 920 instead of the H60. They both have perform better than the H60.

One Google search later.....

OS: Windows Vista®/Windows® 7 (Latest Service Packs) | Processor: Intel® Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz
or AMD AthlonTM 64 X2 5600+ 2.8 GHz | Memory: 2 GB RAM

Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® 260 or
ATI Radeon™ HD 4870 or better

These are recommended specs BTW, Doesn't look too taxing on a modern PC methinks.

I'd go the other way and get a cheap cooler. You don't need massive amount of cooling on SandyBridge to get good overclocks.

Below are two slightly different specs for you, the first one assumes that you don't want to over clock (uses the stock Intel cooler) and the second has a 3rd party cooler. Both specs do not include a video since you don't say at what resolution you would be gaming at (size of your monitor would be handy to know) plus new cards are due out fairly soon from both ATi and nVidia.

Hello Everybody, at last Blizzard told us the release date for D3! For this reason it's time to build my computer.

What about this spec? Any comments or advices about it?

Tks so much in advance!

16GB RAM?

I don't think D3 is going to be very system intensive by the sound of it, so that spec seems a bit overkill. Of course, it would be pretty future proof for other games too....but if all you care about it D3 then you could save a bundle I'm sure.

Oh, and 16GB RAM?
