Hi guys,

Speaker wise i've been looking at the Creative T40's & T20's but have heard some negative feedback with regards to build quality! But have now chanced upon the Logitech Z-10's which look lush, however I have the Logitech X230's which are way to bassy for me even with the sub level at minimum, so was wondering are the Z-10's better with more clarity, less bass etc?

And can someone recommend me some decent headphones, dont need a mic but want some decent sounding cans and well built. Cant afford a massive amount but say around £60.00 give or take.

Any help you can give would be much appreciated :)

What sound card are you using?

I have the T20's with the Sennheiser PC161 Pro-Gaming Headset and a XFi Xtreme card, speakers were £35 delivered from MM mint condition, all round great combo for gaming movies and music I feel

Build quality issues on the T20s? I've only ever seen one pair (mine) but build quality's definitely not lacking, they're weighty, feel very solid, all the twiddly bits feel very nice, all the jacks are nice and tight, they're spot on. As I said though, I've only ever seen mine, but I think for what they cost they're cracking little speakers.

Would you consider the T20's to be bass heavy? My Logitech X-230's were too bassy to enjoy and lost a lot of the high and midranges as a result!

With regard to the T20 & T40's build quaily, a fair few mentioned that wires were loose inside the units, but the outside as you mentioned were very good.

I've never felt them to be bass heavy. They're capable of making quite good bass, but obviously not so much as a sub/sat system. I sort of prefer them to sub/sat setups though, it's cleaner and neater and less.. distended.

For the money and size I really like them, I'd definitely buy them again :)

Thanks for the advice so far guys :)

Anyone know what the Sennheiser HD 515's are like? Worth it?

Thanks

id consider the hd485 over the 515, very similar but seem to have a bit more bass.

i also have the t20's, they are very good if you want a good but compact desktop solution. they are excellent for their size. build quality doesnt seem to shabby :P

For 70£ you can get Denon AH-D1000 or 1001 they are at least one level better of all mentioned here.

If you do a little nit of searching you will find them for 60.

Good luck
