Hey guys,
I'm going to build a new pc--i7 cpu. Wanted to know what do you think about it.. Here it goes. I'm not buying a video card (mine 8600GT) and not water cooling because of the tight budget, so here it goes........
CPU: i7 920 DO Stepping L241.98
MOBO: Evga X58 classified L379.49
MEM:Corsair XMS3 6Gb L86.24
PSU:Corsair HX100W L189.99
Case:Silverstone Raven Case L147.99
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB L55
Total: L1100.
Sry about the money signs. Suggest me any part that I can fix but I cannot spend anymore. Thanks

mobo and PSU would save you about £250 if u bought a ASUS P6T and a pc power and cooling 750W PSU with 2Gb mem stick!

woah, a waste of money in some places mate, why not something like this...slightly over, but has a graphics card and cpu cooler aswell, that 8600GT would just hold your system back imo

If your budget is so tight you can save some money by getting a cheaper; mobo, case, psu.

Look at the Asus P6T line of mobos, or the Gigabyte offerings. You only really need about 600W PSU so could save some £££'s there, and you can also pick up a decent case for less than £100.

Drop the motherboard to Asus or Gigabyte UD4 or UD5, the PSU is overkill look at the Corsair 650w.

hey guys I looking for buying a GTx295 later on that why i choose The HX1000w and later on I will begin to use water cooling. THe EVGA X58 sli classified is the best and works with some PSU's only. If it worked with other PSU's I will definetly change the PSU. BTW I like the P6T mobo the V2 but the evga is better. Can you suggest me good memory for the EVGA classified...the cheapest there is
Thanks for your posts

Hey guys just wanted to know for a good memory DDR3 for the Evga X58 Classified. The cheapest memory there is Anyone has this board?

Ok then Suggest me somethings. I've decided on these things I'm getting I7 bla bla, Carsair 1000W, Raven Case, and Western digital HDD. The missing things are the mobo and the RAm help me

I know I choose that case it's awesome. don't konw boutt the mobo think i'm leaning to the asus P6Tv2 . Is it good cmndr andi? It's your board? IfI choose the Asus P6T Deluxe V2 what memory will I choose because not every memory module works with the board?
Hey siumatfung sry for questioning back but I want a good PC. I think I'll settle for the P6Tv2 mobo . The CLassified is a waste of money for me .

Aye, the P6T Deluxe V2 is a good board. I haven't really tested its potential yet as I'm only at 3.6 but that was a piece of cake using it. After my exams I want to try it at 4GHz. As for RAM, I use this stuff set to 1440MHz.

If I had the chance to buy my motherboard again, I think i'd go for the Gigabyte. It seems to clock better and you can use the x21 multiplier I believe.
