Well as the title says, I'm running a pretty good setup atm, but the case is what’s letting me down; an Enermax CS-527, it might have a lot of fans but it's too loud and hot for what I’ve got atm

I've looked at the Akasa Eclipse 62, but I can't see another case that looks as boring as it. Also looked at the Silverstone Temjin TJ06 with its wind tunnel, and combined with the CPS9500 it could work well. Another case I’ve looked at is the v1000+'s but is it really worth the extra money going for it?

Rig is:

Asus A8R-MVP Crossfire
FX60 with CNPS9500
3x Spin points
And x1900xt-x and master
and FSP 700w

Akasa Eclipse would be you best bet.
Looks an excellent case (currently holding off buying one until after I come back from my holiday in 2 weeks)

Could keep that running nice and cool without a problem.

It may be ugly, but your going to be staring at the screen, not at your case ;)

So thats what I have been doing wrong. :(

v1000+ is worth the extra money if you think it is, although not really suited to a overclocked SLI/Crossfire rig unless its watercooled.

The Lian Li G70 is another good option, but I am guessing I am soaring out of budget now.

Always the Thermaltake Armour, but they look a little rough around the edges to me, you may like their appearance however.

You asked for a cooling case - that's the Eclipse. Big air volume, big fans, straight air flow path.

And you can specify the additional 120mm side intake fan if you really do need any extra cooling.

The Silverstone is not popular on these forums, as people recommend what they know and we have very much got into a cycle of people recommending Lian Li PC-7+ or Akasa Eclipse 62. For higher end stuff Lian Li V series gets the nod.

We would like to think that these are the best cases, but I'm pretty sure no-one here has a TJ-06. The last time a TJ-06 was mentioned, as far as I can see, was in February 2006, when they OP asked for a comparison of the TJ-06 and the Akasa Eclipse 62. He got 1 sensible, considered, response (guess who that was from, Yewen) and then all the Eclipse owners waded in.

The problem is, that never having used a TJ-06 I couldn't really recommend it to you. On paper it looks excellent, and it's not silly money like some Silverstone cases. I would like you to be brave an get one, if for no other reason than I'd like to see someone with build a real computer into one and not have to rely on 'strangers' for reference reviews.

I do know that you will not be disappointed with the Eclipse or even a PC-7+, which is why there are so many about. We've just got a Nexus Breeze 600 in the office and as soon as I can afford it I'm going to buy an S80B as I think I've got a cheaper case, with a PSU, that will give Yewen's new favourite a run for it's money!
