I think there is some confusion here somewhere - you're using an AMD CPU cooler on an Intel motherboard? Sounds wrong to me.

You are correct there yes lol

/looks at mistake

EDIT: I have the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler, my mistake lol.

I've just installed a OCZ Vendetta 2 CPU Cooler, £34.49 inc VAT.

From reviews I've read it pretty much competes with a TRUE which is twice the price when you take into account that the Vendetta comes with it's own fans. I've read that new direct heat pipe technology is making a massive difference.

I'm running a Q6600 at 3.7 ghz (1.5v) and under stress my CPU gets to about 60C or so. Which I was pretty happy with.

Only thing that sucks is that it uses the same install system as the stock cooler, push pin thing. I found this a real pain to install. Then again I did it without removing the motherboard, removing it would have helped a lot!

did you find the push pins are holding it ok as it is a heavy beast the vendetta isnt it

Well it's early days, but so far it's ok. I must admit I winced a little bit when moving the case vertical, it's a pretty chunky heat sink!

I read somewhere that it might be possible to buy an additional x-bow bolt kit solution, another cooler is pretty much identical but different branded and I think you can use this one. It might be a Zalman cooler, sorry can't remember for sure.
