Hey guys, ive been using AMD hardware for a while now, but wondering should I change, I know intel would be more expensive, but ive had no real issues with amd yet.

I currently have 8 gigs ram ddr3 I think
amd phenom 965 quad core processor, with a 2gb asus hd 6950 direct cu 2 edition graphics card. I should be ok case wise, could afew of you spec me a few options, I wouldn't want to go overkill money wise, would the old parts sell for much now ? or would I be wasting my time, somewhere maybe around £400 to give me a good upgrade to play things like witcher 3, new gta coming out and dying light etc, thanks in advance.

ok I could save a while longer and go up to £500 I guess, but then wouldn't I be better going console ? but I love my pc gaming with keys and mouse

I think the 290 is currently great value, the 970 would have been my choice also, but memory issues others report has concerned me. 290X is another good card.

But I think many are waiting to see what AMD's 300 series cards are capable of, as they will be out within the next few months I think?

And this may also bring some prices down, for instance Nvidia's current GPU's may improve and cost less.

maybe I should wait on the 300 series then ? what kind of price will they be coming in at ?
Nobody knows anything yet, even talk of spec is all rumour. We're all in the dark. Hopefully they will announce something fairly soon... they'd be silly not to try and capitalise on the situation right now, at least so people know they have another option around the corner, and how that will stack up against what's available today.
