Basically I need some pointers, because I'm thinking of upgrading from my current 939 setup (Opteron 146, Abit AN8 SLI, 2gb Geil Value RAM). I havent been keeping a proper eye on the market recently but Im guessing the Core 2 Duo is still the best value. I just want something that will clock nicely and be stable at a good speed. So whatever chip is cheapest reliable clocker I guess. Mainly because I cant afford a high end chip, and dont mind tweaking it up a bit. Looking at getting 2gb of RAM and a decent mobo, preferably SLI but not essential. Will be needing onboard sound and LAN (pref 1000mb) but i assume they still all come with that anyway. Any ideas on what chipset and CPU are good value right now would be much appreciated.
