Well i got my HIS radeon x1950 Pro PCI-E on wednesday and have had no joy with it and im now using my old x800XL http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17783664(previous thread). Now im not sure if i should send it back, i have called OCUK and told them the problem said i have 12 days to return and that they would test the card. But i have a funny feeling it isnt the card but i dont know for sure :S

Hi,

I had a look at the manual for you mobo from the link in the other thread.

On the main BIOS Page it looks like the right hand side say F9 - load defaults

Do this..... (Load Defaults)

Then before saving, find the chipset settings

set the Primary VGA adapter to PCI-E

save and exit,

change card

good luck !

When I had a similar issue, clearing the CMOS with the jumper made no difference, it only finally worked after loading defaults. Not sure if you did this in the last post as you talked about clearing the CMOS..
