Hi guys,

As some of you may know, my mum and her fiancee have been converting the garage into my bedroom at their new house.

Well, it's ready now and I'm moving in on Saturday :D

Here are a couple of pics taken a week ago.

Does anybody have any ideas on where to position my PC and AV gear? I use my hi-fi for both watching DVDs and listening to music from my PC so really need the speakers positioned around the computer.

You can see the wardrobe in one of the pictures. Directly behind this and along the back wall is my bed. I originally wanted to have all my equipment along the back wall, as it would have been perfect, but I'm not allowed

My hi-fi gear and 14" TV will go on the shelving unit near the window for the time being, but eventually I want to replace it with a nicer unit with glass shelves and replace the TV with a 42" LCD or something. I did want a projector, but because of the way my room is setout, I wouldn't be able to watch it from my bed.

I'll also be replacing my front speakers (B&W 601's) with AE Evo 3's, and hope to have the B&W's behind me. I was thinking of having two setups... a simple stereo amp and cheap pair of speakers for my computer, and my decent stuff positioned for 5.1.

Thanks.

I've got more pictures on my computer, but they basically show the back wall so not use really.

Cheers.

I just realised those pictures are crap! Sorry! I'm trying to draw a basic diagram now.

Radiator issues aside, the speakers in front of the window (but not in the corners) would be the best there, with you sat at the PC facing the window to listen to music properly. You could move that stand to the middle of the window if you wanted to watch movies with it.

Another option is to move the desk down a bit and put your speakers either side of the desk. This isnt ideal as the room doesnt look that wide and with you wanting a 5.1 setup, well, I personally wouldnt with that small a space but there we go.
