My pc boots with just a blank screen.

Processor is e2200 was in my gigabyte ds3l i flashed the board after kept restarting on the updating bios screen because it just loops after that it just got blank screen so i took it back to be looked at still waiting.

I have a brand new spare board its the Asrock 4CoreDual and i have installed a new artic cooler pro onto it.

All connected up and blank screen when its layed flat their is vibrations coming from the processor area im not sure if i have somehow murdered my processor its all annoying and fustrating ive tried agp and pci express graphics card in the board i have tried ddr and ddr 2 ram tried sata and none sata hard drive i do not know why its not booting the board is brand new also.

So basically what you're saying is that your machine kept on restarting so you flashed your bios. Then when you've flashed it, the blank screen keeps on appearing?
Is it restarting after you get the blank screen or is it still going?

This is probably unrelated completely, but I had issues with gigabyte boards constantly restarting when external hard-drives were connected.

No im using another board at the min im waiting to get my replacement it may be down to not mounting the processor right i can just pull it out the socket it does not seem to lock in when i push the catch down.

Erhm.. that doesn't sound ok. You should be able to stick the catch under a pin or something like that. Its like a thing that will lock the thing that holds the CPU where its supposed to be. Then add a fine layer of cooling pasta on the cpu cooler and then attach it.

lol i did not have the loading catch on oops.

I have a new problem though the pins on my new artic cooler are abit damaged and 2 sides will not lock in i was very gentle will be able to replace it with ocuk?

Was it damaged when you got it or did you damage it yourself? If you can convince them that it already was damaged, yes you could probably get a new one.
