Negative film Scanners

Has anyone had any experience in using film scanners, or decent providers? I thought I'd convert some old film to digital while I was off.

The Plustek OpticFilm 8100 Film Scanner seems to be a popular choice.

You can probably get some adaptor/kit and use your DSLR to do this.

All it takes is a close focus lens like a Macro, a place to mount the negative in front of the lens with a backlight.
