Neon mod

I have a 15cm neon strip light that was in the glove compartment of my car when i bought it and has been sitting there since i bought it. I'm wondering whether if i cut off the bit that plugs into the cigarette lighter and stick a 4 pin molex on if it will work or not? Any ideas?

Thanks for the replies guys. I have a hiper type-r 580W PSU, although unfortunately i dont think i have room to give it its own cable. I already had to put the floppy on the same cable as the second hard drive.
