NeoPower PSU question

Got an Antec Neopower with the removable cables. I wish to reduce cable clutter in my case, and was thinking that I could power all my drives from a single cable using 2 y-molex splitters. The question is, is this dangerous? Does each of these cables draw power from a different rail, so that using a single one to power everything would put too big a drain on that specific circuit, or is all the power coming from one place and there's no difference in how many cables it is split between?

I suppose it would depend on exactly how powerful a system you are attempting to run from it but as it is a dual rail PSU I'd advise splitting into at least two cables if the system is at all demanding. I don't know how Antec PSUs deal with overloaded rails as some PSUs will automatically switch to single rails if they have too much of a load on a split rail.

Oh the system itself is just an [email protected], but I want that cable to power 2 optical drives, 2 hard drives and a 6800nu graphics card! (Yep, I know that's a lot of y-splitters, don't ask me where I got so many!:p) Would a single cable burst into flames if I did that? IIRC the one of the two 12V rails is reserved for the motherboard, so there's no danger of underpowering my CPU, I just don't know if it's a good idea powering so much stuff off one cable...
