Recently I purchased this monitor after extensive review of opinions on a variety of sites.

Although it is early days, I am disappointed with the quality of the image compared with either my old 17" NEC CRT, or the IBM laptop LCD. Colours seem metallic, harsh and flat with an artificial quality which I find quite unacceptable.

To be fair to the monitor I am running it at the moment on an old NVIDIA card which can barely manage 1280x1024. I am assemblling a new barebone system over the weekend (ASUS T2-AH1) with a much better integrated graphics system including DVI input and we will see what the performance of the monitor is with this new system.

Most posts seem to be about speed of response. I have seen little information on the quality of the image?

Kind regards,

John

Welcome to the forums.

I have seen this TFT in action and it is awesome mate. Check out peoples reviews on the net. It is an excellent all rounder!! See what it looks like with a decent graphics card etc.

Check back with what you think of it with the new setup.

Sounds like you need to go into the colour temperature option and make some adjustments.

Mine looks great.

I'm using it on DVI. However I did hook it up on the analog just to check and it did look terrible until I played about with the colour temperature settings.

Often Analogue -> Digital can make an amazing difference

I've got a Digimate L-1916 TFT that looks great via DVI but is appalling via Analogue (poor colours, fuzzy display, noise, shadowing, blurred text, etc)
