Nero 6 video query ????

I've got a family video which has already been burned to DVD and I want to convert it back so I can store it on my hard disk.

I'm using Nero Recode 2 , which does the job but it stores the file as a Nero Showtime file and I want it stored as an Mpeg Movie so it will play correctly on , Windows Media, Real Player, Quicktime etc. Is there any way I can get round this ??

Why not just copy the contents of the disk over to your hard drive .If it's a single layered disk it'll be around 4.7 gig .Open up the DVD on your drive in My computer , there'll be a few folders on it ,Audio, Video . Now ,copy the lot to a named folder on your C:\ drive.You can play the .vob files using a player like ASUS DVD or POWER DVD.You could even rip the files and encode to Divx to save space .
