Nero 7 limiting burn speeds.

My dvd-rw nec 3520 can only select 16x burn speeds in nero yet it is capable of 48x write speeds, what is the issue here? I have the latest firmware for the drive.

I presume you are talking about CD burning speeds yes?

i take it you mean 16x for cd-r's? not really sure tbh. tried reinstalling nero? tried other burning software?

Are you burning a CD or a DVD? Your burner is probably capable of 48x in CD mode but only 16x in DVD mode - no burner can burn a DVD at 48x.

Could also be your media - if the discs are limited to 16x then you'll only be able to select 16x, whatever your burner is capable of.

The cds are also at least 24x I know that for sure.
