I installed this last night and i turned my PC on today, to find that after a while in windows i got a BSOD with STOP: 0x000000F4. I rebooted, let windows run CHKDSK and it found a bunch of nero files and they were "Orphaned" (what ever that is). It went along repairing etc and now no BSOD yet.

Is this most likely caused by NERO? Has anyone ever experienced this and should i uninstall it?

This sometimes happens to me when burning DVD's with Nero 7 also.

I couldn't be bothered with it anymore so now I use VSO XtoDVD, which I find much better for DVD's anyway.

Thanks. I will get rid of it, which is a shame because i really liked the suit of programs it came with. Are there any other similar alternatives?

The only ones I've ever used are Clone DVD (1 and 2) and the VSO software.

I'd check out the XtoDVD program. It's really good. Although it does only do one job.

Anyway, I heard Nero 6 series is more stable than 7. Not sure how true that is, but if you want to keep using Nero go with Nero 6.
