Is it the motherboard/intel chipset drivers that would ultimately solve the slow burning issue under nero ?

Its taking 1hr to burn a 4gig file for instance...

I had this problem once, things you need to check are, dma mode is set on the dvd writer. Also check for a conflict between the hd and dvd writer, I needed to move a sata hd to another sata port to fix my problem.

Can we have more info on your system, if it a new build, then sharing a dvd rom and hd on the same cable can also cause this problem.

Its an Advent 9509 PC, has a customised 965 chipset mobo and 16x DVDwriter also.

The issue is with the preloaded Vista copy its provided with nero burns fine.... but with XP loaded am having the issue dispite installing intel chipset drivers.

Ive tried changing dma/ide channels reloading and uninstalling them many times but no good...

Im pretty certain its a driver thats missing I do have a few missing in device manager.

I think ill have to go on a driver hunt myself :)

found the drivers via google, installed the corrent mainboard chipset drivers and the IDE/SATA channels updated.

All good now under nero.

Just in case anyone has any nero buffering issues at least they can be sure of one thing updating your mainboard drivers tends to correct it, but not always ;)
